Hospitality for Hunger is a vision and possibility of compassion, contribution and commitment to affect hunger in San Diego by its Hospitality Workforce.

Hospitality for Hunger is dedicated to raising awareness and positively impacting hunger in San Diego through a community fundraising event worked by San Diego Hospitality Workers. The Hospitality Workforce covers a wide range of organizations offering food service and accommodation.

Mission of Event / Project: Educate, Inspire and Motivate San Diego Hospitality workforce to recognize and acknowledge our ability to affect hunger in our community.

The (FASD) BackPack Program, sometimes locally referred to as the Weekend Wellness Program, meets the nutritional needs of hungry children over weekends and school holidays when other food resources are not available. Food insecure children are provided child friendly, nutritious and easy to prepare food every Friday to help them meet their nutritional needs through the weekend.  http://feedingamericasd.org/
